One of the marvels of modern dentistry, CEREC Same-Day Crowns allow us to provide patients with custom-made dental crowns in just one visit. This eliminates having to wait for a crown to be built in a dental laboratory. Our same-day crowns look natural, and they offer the same performance that you would expect out of any top-quality restoration.
Dental crowns are tooth-shaped structures that are placed at the site of lost teeth or over damaged teeth to restore their function and appearance. In the past, a patient would normally have to wait for days, or even weeks, for a customized replacement to be built. However, CEREC Same-Day crowns have all but eliminated this wait, and a patient can now receive a brand-new customized restoration in one visit to our office.
Our Same-Day crowns are constructed from a solid block of ceramic and resin material. We start by taking digital photographs of the patient’s teeth. Next, we use the photographs, along with computer-aided design (CAD) technology, to customize a permanent dental crown for the patient. After carefully finalizing the design, we will upload it to a special machine that is capable of producing a real-life replica of the design in a matter of minutes.
It usually takes about 10 to 20 minutes to customize the dental crown. After it has been built, the same-day crown can be applied in the same way as any other dental crown. Our patients are thrilled with their new same-day crowns that look natural and offer outstanding performance.
Dr. Halabo has been named a top dentist for 15 consecutive years! If you would like to learn more about CEREC Same-Day Crowns, please call us at (619) 427-0810 to schedule an appointment.
A bridge is a non-surgical way to replace one or many teeth. A bridge uses the adjacent teeth as anchors to support the missing tooth or teeth. With today’s dental advancements, a bridge can be fabricated in a fairly short period of time, using a metal or nonmetal foundation. Don’t let that missing tooth affect the way you speak, eat, and smile. Bridges yield immediate results that last a lifetime. Ask your dentist what type of bridge may be right for you.
